CurrentKey 9.0 launches, and now supports Import & Export of Custom Icons, Banner images, and more!

CurrentKey 9.0 is currently in the App Store review process, then it will be available to you! (recently, reviews have been taking longer to complete.) Below is a post announcing the features it will come with:

With CurrentKey 9.0, now you can take Mac personalization to a whole other level.

This 30 second demo video shows off Banners and Alert Icons.

Next: you can easily Export your Custom Icon creations (including their Banner attachments) or Import others’!

There are a ton of other improvements throughout the app. One of the more notable: You can now set Icons OR Stats to be the first thing to show after the popover opens.

You may have seen that the app “usually free on Sundays”. That’s right: I’m trying different things out. It was originally a freemium app, then it became a free app, then a subscription app, but… subscriptions really rub a lot of people the wrong way (even if they have a generous free trial period). There were several 1-star reviews that were simply “It’s a subscription app” :/. So, I made it free for a period while I pondered what else I could try, and now I’ve decided to make it a pay-once (up front) model for new users–while letting it go on sale on Sundays. Maybe I’ll phase out the “free on Sundays” part eventually; we’ll see.

Enjoy!
